The Stuart Hornets are aiming high, a State Basketball Championship could be on the horizon. After a tough loss to Kiowa in the Regional tournament at Checotah, the #10 Hornets won the con-solation bracket to qualify for State. Capped off by upsets of ranked teams Glencoe and Davenport, the Hornets stunned #2 ranked Calumet Saturday night in Okmulgee to advance to The Big House.

Faith Voigt is a very beautiful and talented young lady who recently participated in the Patriot Rodeo in Fort Worth, Texas. She took two of her horses (Fancy and Starburst) and out of the 1288 that were entered in the competition, both of hers were chosen for the short round.

Ali’Jah Bowen is the daughter of Shannon Harjo. Her grandparents are Martha Harjo and the late Leonard Harjo. Her siblings are Lae’Lah & Bubbah Bowen, Jordan Harjo, Athienah & Haeighyah Billy. Shannon has been a member of Basketball, Softball, Cheer, NHS, NASC, FCCLA, Art Club and Key Club. Ali’Jah enjoys sleeping, napping and watching movies. After high school, she plans to go to college.

Yep, it’s true. The Covid-19 stinks to most of us but not to all. The people testing positive for COVID-19 seem to lose their sense of smell. One victim reported that the diapers no longer smelled. Bad or good. That seems like a potentially good thing to some of us, but we do need our sense of smell. But Covid-19 victims do suffer from Anosmia, a loss of smell. Cooks and chiefs can no longer sniff their garlic, curry and peppers. In fact, this may be the only symptoms for some who test positive for the deadly virus. President Trump is being mocked at how he is handling this new crisis by liberals but what the heck. He can’t do anything right anyway—in their eyes.
